Looking Forward to 50 More Years of Top-notch Service, Quality Products
Becker Brothers notes its humble 1959 beginnings

(September 15, 2009) Minneapolis—Beckers is celebrating 50 years of service to the floorcovering industry in the Twin Cities. Beckers was established in 1959 by four tireless, passionate and hard-working brothers (Harold, Bill, Jim and Dick Becker.) Beckers has continued to grow and set the standard in flooring services.

Since their humble beginnings Beckers has never wavered in their strong commitment to customer satisfaction from start to finish. As the floorcovering industry has evolved and transformed, so has Beckers. From 1959 to 1994 the company was a labor service only entity. Four guys and a truck grew into a floorcovering powerhouse during the 1970s and 1980s, employing as many as 100 installers for several years. Beckers services prominent Twin City retail and commercial flooring sales organization along with numerous Fortune 500 corporations, institutions and everything in between. No project is too challenging, difficult or sizeable for Beckers to take on yesterday or today.

In the early years carpet and some resilient flooring was all that was serviced. Today Beckers has evolved into a very diverse sales and service company. Carpet, resilient, rubber, wood, ceramics and many other materials are specified and installed under a single source contact. In 1994 Floors by Beckers was born in a small portion of the current 46,000-square-foot warehouse and services center. Beckers has installed hundreds of millions of square feet of finished floor coverings successfully and continues to strive for growth and market leadership within Minnesota. Becker Companies are constantly striving to stay in front of the industry standards and eco friendly trends that will drive business practices for the future. A second generation of Beckers is now steering the ship into the future with a new vision. One thing that hasn't changed is the passion to service.

Our passion and desire to serve our customers to the best of our ability will continue to be at the heart of our corporate mission. As our 50th year is upon us, we have been challenged by an extremely difficult business climate. As Beckers success of the past was based on passion, hard work and customer service, the future will require the same and more. We are ready, willing and able to accept the challenges that may come before us! We will continue to invest in our people and infrastructure to meet our future challenges with the best flooring solutions without compromise to our founders’ commitment to excellence!
